The chalet provides a comfortable and quiet retreat, with a host who is attentive and ensures that everything you need is in place. The space is well-equipped, making it convenient for a peaceful stay. Set in a calm and natural environment, the surroundings offer a nice break from the usual pace of life. The cozy interior and scenic views create a relaxing atmosphere, making it a good spot for those looking to enjoy some downtime in nature.
The main issue we encountered during our stay was the limited availability of hot water. We timed it, and there was only 4.5 minutes of hot water in the shower every 2 hours. This wasn't mentioned in the listing, and it created some challenges for us, as we were two people needing to shower. Additionally, we prepared most of our meals at the chalet, so washing dishes with hot water was a necessity. However, we had to choose between one of us showering or washing dishes, since both couldn’t be done within the limited time window. In the mornings, if we wanted to go out for activities, waiting for another round of hot water for the second person to shower wasn’t feasible, so only one of us could shower before heading out. The second person would have to wait until the evening, which again clashed with the need to clean up after dinner. Also, 4.5 minutes is simply not enough for a thorough shower, especially for anyone needing extra time, like washing hair. Perhaps this is common for chalets in this region of Switzerland, but we’ve stayed in other places in the country, with more space, no restrictions on hot water, and for less cost. We just wish this information had been made clearer upfront, as it would have definitely influenced our decision.
